Low-to-medium carbon strip delivered in the condition your fine blanking line actually needs — spheroidized, flat, tight on gauge, and slit to your coil width. Stocked in Shanghai, processed in-house, documented on every coil.
Fine blanking is not stamping. It is a precision shearing process that puts four demands on the material — we organise our range around them.
Carbides rounded and uniformly distributed so the material deforms cleanly instead of fracturing. This is the single biggest factor in shear-face quality and die life.
Coil set and waviness must be minimal — the blanking die closes on the strip, and a bowed coil costs you scrap, not just speed.
Blank weight and die clearance assume a consistent thickness. Precision-rolled strip holds the band your tool was designed for.
Scale, rust or rolled-in defects become cosmetic failures on visible parts and weak points on loaded ones.
These are the components where fine blanking steel either performs or fails loudly. We have supplied strip for all of them — and we quote by part, not just by grade.
Why it is demanding: thin sections, tight flatness, high strength after hardening. Our answer: medium-carbon strip (S45C–S50C type), spheroidized, precision-rolled, slit to narrow widths.
Why it is demanding: complex perimeter shapes with burr-free edges that must fit mating parts. Our answer: low-to-medium carbon strip with a fully spheroidized structure for clean fracture.
Why it is demanding: certified strength, traceable chemistry, no surface defects in critical sections. Our answer: documented MTC per coil, full traceability from hot-rolled coil to finished strip.
Why it is demanding: tight flatness after blanking and dimensional stability through heat treat. Our answer: controlled gauge and decarb, consistent hardenability across the coil.
Why it is demanding: fatigue-loaded components with no tolerance for internal defects. Our answer: clean material from the Baosteel supply chain, verified chemistry, inspection documents available.
Equivalents are approximate — we recommend the final grade from your drawing, tonnage and heat treat route.
| Type | Typical grades | Equivalent families | Typical C% | Where it is used |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Low carbon | DC01 / SPCC / SAE1008 | EN 10130 · JIS G3141 · ASTM A109 | ≤0.12 | Locks, brackets, stamped housings — formability first |
| Medium carbon | S35C–S50C / C45–C60 | EN 10083 · GB/T 699 | 0.32–0.55 | Seat recliners, transmission plates, hardened structural parts |
| High carbon | SAE1078 / 65Mn type | ASTM A684 · GB/T 1222 | 0.72–0.85 | Clutch discs, hardened precision parts, spring-loaded mechanisms |
Chemistry and mechanicals are confirmed on the Mill Test Certificate for each delivery. Equivalents shown are indicative, not certifications.
Because processing is in-house, we can ship material already in the condition your line needs — or adjust it if your trial run says so.
We match your drawing and standard to the closest stocked grade; chemistry verified against the source MTC.
Soft-annealing cycles condition the carbide structure for clean fine blanking — the step most resellers skip.
Tight gauge tolerance and controlled surface finish for your tool's clearance window.
Width tolerance and burr managed on our line; coils or sheets to your feeder.
Hardness, surface and dimension checks; MTC issued; export-packed for your port.
Chemistry ranges, hardness bands, thickness and width tolerances per EN 10140, surface finish and delivery condition — write a material spec suppliers can quote accurately.
Burnish/break ratio, burr height limits, flatness and camber tolerances, IT-grade dimensional accuracy and acceptance criteria — use these to write quality clauses and evaluate supplier capability.
These grade families share material, processing or application territory with the topic on this page.
SAE1078 / 65Mn / SK5 grades for hardened parts, springs and cutting edges.
65Mn / 50CrV4 / 60Si2Mn grades with high elastic limit and fatigue resistance.
SK5 / SK7 / T8A / T10A grades with wear resistance and edge hardness for cutting tools.
